Amy Hearst is a Materials Engineer at Silveray. Amy has 9 years experience working with semiconductor image sensor technology. With an MPhys from the University of Southampton she became a cleanroom based process engineer at Leonardo producing infra-red detectors for defense and space. Amy joined vivaMOS, a CMOS image sensor spin-out from STFC, in 2018 as a production engineer and was responsible for wafer and detector yield. After its acquisition by the Nordson Corporation, she grew scintillator knowledge within the team by investigating scintillator materials for indirect X-ray imaging, enriched by an MRes in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham. Amy loves learning about science and engineering and her goal is to apply her technical and operational skills to contribute to the team in delivering and optimising the performance of Silveray’s direct X-rays detectors.
